Young Republic

Image
India is more than just a country; it is a feeling, a heartbeat that unites over 1.4 billion people. It is a land where every corner tells a story of resilience, courage, and hope. While our history spans thousands of years, as a republic, we are young, vibrant, and full of boundless energy. When we became independent in 1947, the world watched a nation, bruised by colonial rule, rise with unyielding determination. And on January 26, 1950, when we adopted our Constitution, we proudly declared to the world that we would govern ourselves, guided by the principles of justice, equality, and liberty. That day was not just the birth of a republic but the beginning of a promise; a promise to ourselves and the generations to come. As a proud Indian, I see this promise reflected in our incredible diversity. We speak different languages, follow varied traditions, and celebrate countless festivals, yet we remain one. It amazes me how this unity in diversity defines who we are. Whether it’s ...

Unrealistic Marriage Expectations

Marriage, often regarded as the union of two souls and families, has increasingly become a negotiation heavily cantered around material gains. This is a topic I feel compelled to write about, based on my personal experiences and observations. Society, family pressure, and the ticking biological clock often push men like me into the labyrinth of matrimonial websites, a space where traditional matchmaking intersects with modern aspirations. What I’ve witnessed there, however, is disheartening. It’s not just the process that seems flawed but the expectations that many women and their families bring to the table. Let me give you a glimpse. On numerous profiles of women aged around 25, I see a common demand: a groom earning an annual salary of at least ₹25 lakh. In some cases, the expectation shoots up to ₹70 lakh or even ₹1 crore. Now, let’s put this into perspective, these demands often come from women who are themselves simple graduates, without a lucrative career, or, in some ...

Unscripted Life

Image
Life is an unscripted journey, a canvas that unfolds with every decision we make, every path we choose, and every breath we take. Unlike a movie or a play where characters follow a predetermined storyline, our lives are built on moments of uncertainty, coincidences, and countless possibilities. And therein lies its beauty. We often try to plan our future, thinking we know what’s best. But life has its own way of surprising us. A sudden career shift, an unplanned trip, an unexpected friendship, these are the moments that remind us life is not a script we follow; it’s a story we write as we live. Imagine if everything in life were predictable, where’s the thrill in that? It’s the uncertainty of what’s to come that makes every sunrise worth waking up for. The twists and turns, though sometimes challenging, are what shape us into who we are meant to be. Living without a script means having the freedom to reinvent ourselves at any moment. Perhaps you’ve spent years in a job, relatio...
