  सरस्वती पूजा का नाम आते ही एक अलग ही उत्साह और उमंग दिल में जाग उठती है। यह केवल देवी सरस्वती की आराधना का पर्व नहीं था , बल्कि बचपन की उन सुनहरी यादों का संगम था , जब यह दिन केवल पूजा तक सीमित नहीं रहता था , बल्कि मस्ती , उमंग और बाल सुलभ इच्छाओं से भरा होता था। सरस्वती पूजा की सुबह कुछ खास होती थी। माघ महीने की हल्की ठंड , ऊपर से सुबह-सुबह जल्दी उठकर नहाने का आलस , लेकिन यह भी पता होता था कि पूजा के बहाने स्कूल की किताबों से एक दिन की छुट्टी मिल जाएगी। घर के बड़े-बुजुर्ग पहले ही घर की सफाई कर चुके होते , आंगन लीपा-पुता होता और मां-चाची पूजा की तैयारियों में जुटी होतीं। रसोई से आती मीठे और स्वादिष्ट व्यंजनों की खुशबू पूरे घर को त्योहारमय बना देती। सबसे पहले घर में प्रसाद बनाया जाता , जिन्हें खाने की उत्सुकता और खुशी अलग ही होती थी। इनके अलावा , घर में पूड़ी , पुआ , आलू-गोभी की अत्यंत स्वादिष्ट सब्जी बनता था , जिसे खाने की इच्छा पूजा से पहले ही होने लगती थी। सुबह की तैयारियों के बाद सबसे बड़ा सवाल होता था "कब किताबें माँ के सामने रख दें ?" पूजा का असली मजा तभी आता था ...
