The Silent Road
The road of life is long.
Sometimes it is full of people, laughter, celebrations, conversations, and
moments that make us believe we will never be alone. We meet people who feel
like home. We make promises to each other. We think some hands will remain in
ours forever. But as life moves forward, it quietly teaches us a truth that is
difficult to accept: everyone has their own journey, their own battles, their
own destination. People may walk beside us for some distance, but no one can
walk every step of our road for us. There will be days when you will be
surrounded by people and still feel completely alone. There will be nights when
your heart will be full of pain, but you will not know whom to tell. You may
want someone to understand what is happening inside you, to sit beside you
without asking questions, to hold your hand and say that everything will be
fine. But sometimes, no one comes. Not because people do not care, but because
there are some pains that cannot be explained, some wounds that cannot be
shown, and some storms that have to be faced from within. There are battles
inside the mind and heart that only the person going through them can
understand.
You will have to wipe your own
tears when no one notices them. You will have to gather yourself after breaking
down. You will have to wake up on mornings when you have no strength left, wear
a smile when life feels heavy, and keep moving even when your heart wants to
stop. That is when you slowly learn to become your own support. You learn that
waiting for someone to save you can make the pain even deeper. You learn that
strength does not always mean being fearless. Sometimes, strength simply means
getting up again after a difficult night. Sometimes, it means choosing to
continue even when you do not know where the road is leading.
Maybe this is why it is said
that in the end, only God truly remains. People may come and go. Their presence
may change, their priorities may change, and even their promises may change.
But God stays in ways we may not always understand. God stays in the courage
that suddenly rises inside us when we thought we had nothing left. God stays in
the patience that helps us survive difficult days. God stays in the small hope
that refuses to die, even when everything around us feels dark. God stays in
that silent voice within us that says, “Just take one more step.” The road may
be long. It may be empty. At times, it may feel like you are carrying your
whole life alone. But perhaps you are not truly alone. Perhaps, in every silent
tear, every unanswered prayer, every painful lesson, and every step you take
when no one is beside you, God is walking with you. Not loudly. Not always by
changing your situation. But by giving you the strength to cross it.
