Whispers of Shiva
There is something deeply calming
about Lord Shiva. You don’t need to know mantras or rituals to feel his
presence. You don’t need grand offerings or complex traditions. You just need
silence… and a heart that seeks.
Shiva is the stillness in chaos, the
quiet behind the noise, the peace after a storm. He is both the dance and the
dancer, the fire and the ash. He wears the crescent moon in his hair, yet his
mind is steady like the vast sky. The Ganga flows from his locks, yet not a
strand moves out of place. Serpents wrap around his neck, yet children call him
"Bholenath", the innocent one.
He does not sit in a palace; he rests
on the cold, snow-covered mountains. He wears no silk robes or golden crowns;
only a tiger skin and a garland of skulls. He doesn’t demand riches; he blesses
even those who offer just a leaf or a drop of water with love.
Shiva is the god who accepts you as
you are. Whether you are broken or lost, joyful or doubtful, he never turns you
away. When the world becomes too loud, sit in silence, and you’ll feel him.
When your heart feels heavy, close your eyes, and you’ll sense him. When you
feel like giving up, call his name even once, “Har Har Mahadev”, and strength
will rise from places you never imagined.
He is not only a god of destruction.
He is the destroyer of ego, of falsehood, of all that keeps us from truth and
light. His third eye doesn’t open in anger, it opens when it’s time to reveal
what’s real.
To a child, Shiva is a superhero. To a
lover, he is the most loyal. To a seeker, he is the truth. And to a lost soul,
he is home.
He is not just a deity carved in
stone. He is a feeling. A presence. A rhythm that beats gently within us.
When you are alone, remember, you are
not. When you feel unloved, remember, Shiva never stops loving. When you feel
small and invisible, remember, Mahadev, the greatest of all, sees you.
Because in the end, Shiva is not only
worshipped… He is experienced. He is felt. He is lived.
And once he touches your life, you are
never the same again. Not because he changes your world, but because he teaches
you to face it… with your eyes open and your soul fearless.
