हम ने शब्दों का सहारा शायद इसलिए लिया क्योंकि परिस्थितियों पर हमारा बस नहीं चलता। प्रश्नों का एक दौर चला पर उत्तर कहीं नहीं दिखा। फिर और प्रश्न , पर कोई उत्तर नहीं। फिर एक सुबह , कोई प्रश्न नहीं किया स्वयं से , कि क्यों ? मैं क्यों ? हर बार सिर्फ मैं क्यों ? अभी क्यों ? इन सारे क्यों को मैंने एक पोटली में मैंने यह कह कर बंद कर दिए कि , समय आने पर मैं यह पोटली खोलूंगा और सब को उसके हिस्से का उत्तर मिलेगा। परन्तु तब तक मुझे जीवन में बहुत सारी चीज़ें करनी है , क्योंकि क्या पता ये जीवन कब साथ छोड़ जाए , और अभी तो कई सपने , कई उम्मीदें , कुछ लक्ष्य पूरे करने   बाकी है , और दुनिया कि चौड़ाई तो बस अभी आंकीं है। ये जो जीवन संघर्षों में काट रहे है , इसे जीना तो अभी बाकी है। तो प्रश्न कम , क्योंकि संघर्ष बहुत ज्यादा है। मेहनत का फल पका अभी तो आधा है। समय कम है , पूरा करने को जो खुद से किया वादा है। तो प्रश्न तुम चुप रहो। क्योंकि , जहां उत्तर लिखा होना है , वो पन्ना अभी सादा है।                         ...

  उर्दू का एक शब्द है - परीज़ाद , इसका मतलब होता है परियों की संतान , यानी - बहुत खूबसूरत। अक्सर मुहब्बत को परिजादों का हक़ माना जाता है , जहां सब कुछ खूबसूरत होता है। खूबसूरत हुस्न , खूबसूरत चेहरे , खूबसूरत शामें , परियों की कहानियों जैसा बे-इंतहा खूबसूरत इश्क़। पर एक आम सा दिखने वाला मैं , क्या मुझे कोई हक़ नहीं मुहब्बत का ? क्या इन परियों की कहानियों में मेरा कोई भी किरदार नहीं ? क्या मेरे लिए किसी भी दिल में सच में कोई प्यार नहीं ?  अगर मुहब्बत सच है तो ये भी सच है , कि चेहरों से आगे भी कई जज़्बात होते हैं।   गौर से देखो जरा , बस चेहरे ही नहीं , कुछ दिल भी परीज़ाद होते हैं।   

  कई बार होता है न कि हम किसी Conversation में   Struck हो जाते हैं , और फिर हमें यह सूझता ही नहीं कि अब आगे क्या बात किया जाए। जी हां … वही जहां हमारे "और बताओ" का जबाव आता है … "मैं क्या बताऊँ , मेरे पास कुछ है ही नहीं बताने के लिए" तो उन से ये कहें कि … बोलो कुछ , अपने घर क बाहर की नजारों की बातें करो , जहां मनपसंद पकवान मिलते हैं तुम्हारे , उन बाजारों की बातें करो , जहां गए थे कुछ दिन पहले तुम घूमने , उन पहाड़ों की बातें करो , दर्द में कितना रोये हो तुम , उन ग़मों की बातें करो , ख़ुशी में जब तुम उछल गए थे , उन पलों की बातें करो , लिख-लिख के जो तुमने मिटा दिया , मुझसे उन ख़तो की बातें करो , छोड़ दिया जिन्होंने तुम्हें अपना बना कर , उन अपनों की बातें करो , मुझे सुनना है तुम्हें , तुम अपने किसी मज़ेदार सफ़र की बातें करो , मैं आँखों से भी सुन लूंगा , तुम नजरों से बातें करो , कुछ अपना बताओ , कोई किस्सा बताओ , कोई इधर उधर की बातें करो , बिना सोचे तुम बोलो , बस आज दुनिया भर की बातें करो , आवाज़ सुननी है तुम्हारी , बात सुननी है तुम्हारी , मन अगर ...

कोई अगर पूछे मुझ से , कि क्या चाहिए Life में ? तो मेरे पास उसका एक जबाव है कि , मुझे न , अफसोस न करना अब किसी चीज़ का , प्यार करना था , कर लिया , इस बीच दिल टूट भी गया तो ठीक है , सपना जीना था , जी लिया , उसके बीच थोड़ा मर भी लिए तो ठीक है , दोस्त बनाने थे , बनाए , नाम कमाना था , कमाया , इस बीच खुद को थोड़ा खो भी लिया तो ठीक है , बस शिकवे नहीं चाहिए , काश नहीं चाहिए , आखिर में जब ज़िंदगी के तरफ देखूं तो सोचूं कि , यार , कमाल कि रही है ज़िंदगी मेरी।
